Default Victory Motors-100% positve eBay rating?

With all I've read here about Victory Motors and their shabby reputation, I was quite surprised when I looked in on one of their eBay auctions and noticed that they enjoy a 100% positive feedback rating on eBay. Over 200 transactions, and never one complaint, according to their eBay feedback rating. I sure wonder how this can be, seeing how poorly they are represented here on this board. You'd think someone who was screwed by them would've left poor feedback. Interesting.

That's very hard to believe.

There is a big flaw in ebay: revenge ratings. If you give them negative feedback they give you one too and to get rid of it you need to settle for a withdraw. I had this before and I am glad that ebay picked this one up and will change the rating system soon. I had a case 2 weeks ago where a shipper did not ship to the correct address but instead of giving him a negative rating (and receive a negative from him as a revenge) I decided not to rate at all and to safe all the hassle to correct it.

Just my 2 ct.

Actually, eBay changed the rating system earlier this month.

I imagine someone who was royally screwed by Victory would care less about revenge ratings, especially if they themselves had a perfect rating otherwise. I just think it's very strange that NO ONE has EVER complained at all about a transaction with them on eBay, especially with 220 transactions under their belt. You can see their rating for yourself if you go to eBay.

I would be surprised if the transactions were for cars. The listings are probably done primarily for advertising. Perhaps the transactions are just for parts and stuff.

Like owner's manuals. With dealer stamps. And different-colored 'signatures'....

Don't quote me but I remeber reading a thread where someone had said that in the event of issues, they leverage getting positive feedback first before they attempt to resolve the issue.

There was a thread somewhere with a link to VM's Ebay purchase records - tons of manuals.

Oh I'm sure lots of their auctions were for things other than cars, such as manuals etc. But even if, say, only 20% were for cars, that's still over 40 transactions with never one complaint. That's what I found interesting; no one who has ever purchased a car from them via eBay has left bad feedback about the transaction. That fact runs counter to what I've read about them here, is all.

Victory keeps all of its auctions "private", no bidders ID's are ever shown. They always have a large numbers of bids on cars that never seem to sell. Those very cars are listed and re listed over an over again. Another anomaly that I have found is that the majority of their feedback is given by buyers with very few Ebay transactions under their belts. You may see that a guy that bought a trinket with "big *****" and has a low rating somehow scraped together the Scheckles to buy the car of his dreams (real example). Unfortunately the same Internet that has made us all friends also allows many to hide behind an electronic curtain. I have nothing personal against Victory, but I do see some consistent inconsistency's. If anyone here ever wants to gift me anything, I deserve the "Victory" special vacuum attachment....

Not all of us went thru eBay to buy our cars from Victory...it sounds like I'm the only person here who ever got a decent car from them...then again, the spare key and remote I got clearly came from another car...

I know of someone who recently bought a car through Victory. I'm going to have to check it out one of these days...
