Well what do you call it when someone would cast a vote without regard for the issues at hand and just do it for the sake of supporting "their kind"? I'm not making representations about how much of the country would do this, I'd be willing to bet that its certainly going to happen though.

Mark, "their kind" ......you know, a woman voting for a woman just because, AA's voting for the first AA president just because. Not based on whether or not they feel the person can actually lead but just because the candidate resembles the voter, that is what we're talking about right?

Adrienne i read your first post and i agree there are alot of sexist and racist people in this country, although i do believe its blown out of proportion by the media. I myself have never, as far as i know, been on the receiving end of either of these phenomenon as i am a white male. As i stated earlier i would vote for anyone who shares my ideals regardless of gender or race period. Here is the problem i have... I would wager to bet that if you approached any feminist and asked who they were going to vote for they would tell you flat out Hillary, ask just about any african american sans a few conservative ones i have spoken to and they would tell you Barack Obama. Now either one of these people could say anything they absolutely want, they could state they were flat out communists or they could in fact have horns growing out of their heads and these groups would still vote for them simply because one is a woman and one is Black. Now to me that is also sexist and racist. Am i wrong???

Not intended to be a political debate post.
Just darn on me, in the very near future we could have the first female president, or the first african american president in the US history. Both notions are extrememly exciting to me, it is still hard for me to believe that I am a live to be part of this.

That said, Robin, your comment says a lot about you. The fact that you get excited over a candidate based on their sex and/or race makes you a damned idiot. And a useful idiot.
