Default OT: Very interesting times we live in!

Not intended to be a political debate post.

Just darn on me, in the very near future we could have the first female president, or the first african american president in the US history. Both notions are extrememly exciting to me, it is still hard for me to believe that I am a live to be part of this.

Robin,

I think you overestimate things: Obama isn't African American... enough. And Hilliary isn't woman.. enough. But maybe we will be witness to a transition... just not an all-out shift in one election.

Robin,

I share your enthusiasm...and wonder where it will lead. In and of itself, although these occurrences reflect an unexpected level of open mindedness in the US, I hope whomever wins can get us out of the hole we are in. The credentials you listed are not necessary or sufficient!

IMHO, neither Obama nor Hillary are going to win the general, and we're going to have another Republican president.

Here in Michigan...there is an economic hole. But, we can take consolation in the fact that our votes don't count!

Hillary has to make it to the general, and that's not looking very promising for her.
