PSS10 Pictures - Some Visible Differences
Everyone that has the PSS9s know how hard they are to adjust (especially the fronts). Well here are some pics of the new adjusting ***** on the PSS10s. Quite a difference. The numbers a HUGE, visible, as is the location of where to set the number. Another change is the feel. They have REAL CLICKS... Amazing...
Also they have started to use a newer style locking collar. Notice that they now require the special wrench with the pin at the end (2 wrenches included in kit). Just thought you all might like some pics as I know some of the differences have been talked about, but not seen.

As far as I am concerned, you never use the softest setting. On the PSS9s, I found the 6-7 about the softest I would use. More than that seemed to actually harshen the ride as the shocks were not dampening the effect of the springs. Now the PSS10s may be different, but I doubt it.

I wonder how the shock dyno graphs would overlay between the 9's and the 10's? It would be interesting to see where Bilstein made changes.
Bob is right, settings on the softest side of the damper actually makes the damper feel out of phase with the springs. A strange driving dynamic -- at least it was on my car when I played around with such settings.

OH YEA! That was my thought! If some one wants to send me a shock, I have access to a shock dyno.
I know for the Audi's the PSS9's didn't really have 9 settings, only 2 real ones.
I really want to put the 10's on the C4S!

We have a SPA shock dyno at the shop -- just need to make the attachment pieces -- the hardest one being for the fronts -- gotta be stiff for accurate results.
