Default Cover hole where tweeter went

The previous owner replaced the stock door panels with RS door panels. He gave me the stock door panels when I bought the car, however, the tweeters are missing. The speakers that are in the door are normal coaxial and do not have a separate tweeter. (interior color is midnight blue)

I would like to replace the door panels, but, right now, there is a big silver hole where the tweeter should be. Any suggestions? I don't really want to buy the tweeter shells from a dismantler and just put them there for looks.

I think on balance I would actually try to find replacements for the original tweeter housings from a breaker. At least then the door card will retain the original look even if the housing doesn't actually contain a tweeter. You won't be able to see that the housings don't contain the tweeter either.

Problem is that I am really **** about wierd details and it would bug me to have empty tweeter housings. I'm also stingy and don't want to spend on tweeter housings if I can find a way around it. (without using tweety bird stickers )

If I were detail oriented it would bug me more to have some non-factory looking cover than to have an original tweeter housing

I don't know how to explain it. What bothers me is the idea of having a decorative thing that looks like a functional thing.

It would feel like haveing a turbo noise maker without the turbo
or a plate that has a label on the back that says not fit for food use.

What did you do with the RS door panels? I am looking to replace mine with the RS panels. Maybe we could work a buy/trade. I could send you my tweeters + cash. PM if interested...

I see, I get it, I do stuff like that in my life too. . . how about just putting and extra tweeter there, or a super tweeter, getting the high freqs up higher will open up the sound stage a little, although you are still in a noisy car
