996 Turbo twists on 993
Sorry I don't have time to do a search but I need some quick help. I have a chance to pick up a set of 996 (seller says hollow) turbo twists that I would be putting on my NB 993 C4. The wheels are 7x9 17 inch which is what I am currently running. I have ordered new tires from Tirerack that would be installed on the new wheels. The part number on one of the wheels is: 996 362 124.00 (I didn't get the other numbers but the seller is a RL member and feels the wheels would work on a 993).
He stated that the offsets are 755F and 955R. These are numbers I'm unfamiliar with. The tires on the wheels are the same size as I am currently running (Cup wheels with 205 50 17 and 255 40 17).
Anyone know if offsets could be a problem?
Thanks for your help.

Sounds like these are the standard 17" 996 "twist" wheels. They are not "hollow spoke turbo twists" unless they are 18" diameter.
I do believe these fit with no issues but I don't think they look right on a 993 but everyone has their own opinion I'm sure.

They are supposed to be 17" judging by the size of the tires on the wheels currently so maybe they are the solid spoke wheels. In that case they probably wouldn't be worth what is being asked for for the wheels. I agree they don't look as good as other twists but I need a second set of wheels.

Those are standard/perfect NB offsets. Those sound like "Boxster twists," which I think are only in solid, but still can't weigh much more than our stock 17" Cup IIs. They'll fit fine.
In general, it best to make time for searching, which actually can lead to an answer more quickly...no "waiting around" for an answer. When you think about it, the more duplicate threads we generate, the harder it is for people who actually do search to get to what they need.

I am leaving for holidays in 4 hours and am really behind in work. I have only had time to come back and check on responses briefly. Usually I do a search before hand.
Thanks guys.

To avoid confusion -
Those appear to be 18" "Turbo Twist wheels" which originally appeared on 993 Turbos. The 996 Turbo wheel has "flat" spokes.
Also, the poster is referring to a 17" wheel.

I called the nearest Porsche dealer and he confirmed the part number for the wheel provided by the seller is in fact a solid, not hollow, wheel. I contacted the seller and gave him the information. He will update the ad in the classifieds.
Probably better for me as next time I won't feel so rushed to make a purchase and will have more time for searches.
Oncee again, thanks to all.
