My avatar is a start, along with all the DIYs on my 993. But I've got lots of other ways to spend my (increasingly available) time:
  • Winding down my company (and trying not to loose the proceeds to taxes and the stockmarket)
  • Running (really more like jogging) 5k/day
  • Building and maintaining a coupla websites
  • Following and supporting the (UGA)Bulldogs and (GT)Yellowjackets (I have a kid at each)
  • Always improving the home theater (now computerization)
  • Tinkering with the backyard fish pond
  • Trying not to completely forget how to play the axe
  • Staying ahead of the "honeydo" list

Oh, and travel when we can. I'm off to take the loving and supportive wife to lunch and afternoon at the Georgia Aquarium for Valentine's Day.

Man! I have got to say, all you guys have some cool interests outside of the p-cars. This totally makes me want to get some tube audio gear, buy a Ducati, learn to Kiteboard, get outdoors more, find a smoking hot wife, and pick up guitar lessons again! Just awesome what everyone is in to...

Thanks Andrew, it started out as a small project and grew from there.

Hopefully I can get it done before p car season starts

I had it all planned out and then I saw the prior post . . .

Back to the hobbies:

- Wife and daughter
- Really, really good espresso (better than is available in all but a few shops in the US). It's a sickness (that my wife enjoys)
- saltwater flyfishing (took four years, but my first tarpon on the fly was worth it)
- astronomy
- photography

In any given year, I don't have time for everything on this list, except the wife/daughter and coffee. Good thing about the 993 is you just have to drive it back and forth to work to get something great out of it.

Sam - looks like you have GAS too (guitar acquisition syndrome) also. Exacerbated by never ending upgrades and repairs to the house. Such a sorry way to go...but it DOES look like you have the right taste - a bunch of les pauls and a few Fenders!

Nice! I play a fretless USA Fender Jazz bass in an over fifty60's band!

ps I'm surprised at how many tube audio fans there are amongst us. The previous owner of my car was into that as well.

Business school was just the backup plan (good thing I went). I am also a tube guy (Mesa Boogie).

Yah Marlon, I've got GAS. Good eye on the Gibsons, not too many fenders, I'm more into the pointy guitars than single coils. I've been really into Ibanez Artists the past little while. Luckily I bought another p car and totally emptied the piggy bank, so I've got to take a break from the acquisition thing. Hopefully I can get my place finished(its a apartment and not a house, so I am living out of one room) and I can share some pics of the guitars.

Wow - we got a lot of talent going on here. Mesa is a cool amp. I had a Mesa Lonestar Special 1X12, shoulda' kept it, but I started getting into single coils and I could not dial in a sound that I liked. It sounded awesome on the humbuckers though. I have a Peavey classic 50 4X10 and a 70's Fender Deluxe Reverb. Maybe I can post a pic of some of my stuff later...
