I almost got one of these before getting my ex RS. Personal opinion follows: Lovely shape, engine is pure Fazazz magic but...

construction quality is folkloric, the engine cooling system is hmmm... how do I say this tactfully... overheats in summer and never warms at 5C

The brakes are VERY heavy. Clutch is the same. Steering is heavy. The heating fan has enphesima (sic) and I've handled better gearboxes on old tractors. You also need religion: the car will not start unless you complete a novena to the ignition key before trying to drive it.

Other than that it still had the F magic

Hey, there's some really good stuff there. Do you do any shows in North America? What about discounts for Swedish-born 993 owners?

Kristoffer - nice plane, I've always loved Mooneys.

Here's my personal favorite (it's a little dirty after a long flight up to Oshkosh)

I was begining to think there were not any other pilots on this forum. The Bonanza was my second choice but I didn't need the extra seats. Of course the wife always complains we can't take more people. (but when my friends pitch in for expenses I'll worry about them )

i am American but my wife is from the kungsbacka (gothenberg) area-where we are moving-
original oils go from 5 thousand to 20 thousand-gicle prints range from 450 to 1200 dollars-series of only 30-drawings on paper $150.00 to $250.00
I will give 20% off to all members-clients pay for shipping-now is a great time as I have not packed the studio yet and would like to not ship everything-I also have shows in the works for London and Tokyo in 2009-2010-fyi-

oh there are a number of us out here.. just not all of us would use the bird enough to keep the cph south of $1000 !!!!

I was certified in a M20K about 18 years ago and the first time I came over the fence at 90 it scared the crap out of me! after 250+ hours in a Cherokee and 182 that damn 231 was a freaking jet fighter

Was holding at the line for take off one day at PDK and the tower advised me to move to the hold position as they had inbound traffic with an emergency coming in up the other side of the runway.. as I pulled off (in a 182), a BRAND NEW Mooney came into view .. the guy was maybe 20 feet off the runway and porpoising like crazy.. stalled about 1000 feet from the end of the runway and came straight down and slid (GEAR UP and SPARKS FLYING) and came to rest about 150 feet away from us.. the plane stops.. the door pops open and a women leaps out WITH A POODLE IN HER HANDS and runs off the runway screaming.. a balding guy waddles out of the plane and stares at the mess he has made of his "toy"

I am not making this up.

Of course I am sitting there in the Cessna, I had been cleared for special VFR departure (low ceilings but severe clear 50 miles east) with my new wife who was scared to death of flying anyway.. and Tower instructs me over to 20L for immediate departure.. THAT WAS A FUN MOMENT!!!

this was 89 so could that Mooney possibly have been one with the Porsche motor.. Now that would be an interesting thread. who on Rennlist owns a Mooney with the Porsche motor

PS> You two guys have the 2 notorious DOCTOR KILLERS.. Bonanza and Mooney or is the Mooney a LAWYER KILLER? I cannot remember.

ahhhh. the good times..

I always thought it was the v-tail Bonanzas that were doctor killers.

On a serious note, I also can't justify owning but was recently offered a free demo flight in a DA40XL, so I'll go see what all the hype is about.
