Default What is your other hobby other than your 993

Here is mine!

Like our cars, nothing ever has sounded as good as vinyl. Unfortunately, you have to buy a $800.00 nitty gritty vacuum to keep them quite and then have a glass of merlot and then, the magic begins with memories of what was considered the best experiences in your life.

Where the iPod connection? Seriously, though, that rig looks bad ***. My dad still has some single-channel Macintosh gear, I think. My other hobbies? Well, there's work, working out, cooking, used to own a 26' sailboat, spending time with my baby daughter, dogs, friends, travel- notably to Italy and Argentina and to see my family in Abaco, Bahamas every couple years. But no high impacet OMG! hobbies of note outside of cars (4 of 'em) I guess one sickness is enough.

****! Awesome setup, can't afford what you have. But I am in the same alley, 100% vinyl and 100% analog. Digital is trash!

B&W 801 Matrix 2, ITerminator wires, Bottlehead Singel Ended mono block tube, and Mcintosh MC250 (not in pic), Counterpoint SA 5.1 pre amp, Magnum Dynalab FT101 FM tuner, Simply physics Darkstar turntable with Eminent technology air bearing tone arm. And lots of vinyl records, complete Beatles (two white album, original Euro white album, Rolling stones, classical, opera, early american musical, all 70s disco stuff, lots of jazz and of course Joni Mitchell.

Robin,
I wish I knew you were into that stuff, I donated about 400 mint vinyl classical records (Phillips and Deutsche Gramophone mostly, from the early 1980s) last year because I was sick of hauling them around from duty station to duty station and no one wanted them!

I practice my guitar and beer drinking every night. After thirty-some odd years at it, I'm pretty good at both of them.
