Unique oil smell every time you get into the cabin which causes you to second guess yourself and you still go and look under the car to see if it is leaking oil...

Actually, I've been so damn lucky with my car and had so few problems (read that as no problems) that I actually get scared when I see these threads.

I'm hoping to beat the trend and get another few years of pleasurable driving without any of the quirks..

Besides the IMMOBILIZER of course!!!!

Quirky doesn't necessarily mean bad ... I like quirky.
My 'carpark door ding magnet' is a Honda Civic. It's not got even one quirk , except that it's likely to bore the driver into the central reservation ...

Agreed. Except for the immobilizer, it's a PITA.

1. for us with RH set up ...the angle we have to sit at to operate 3 closely spaced pedals
2. spade fuse blowing when you are trying to " look cool" and lower the roof on your cab
3. guys in white delivery vans who want to race you at lights or on the freeway when you are on the way to a great country road to get the cobwebs blown out of the system ..

...today at a detailers for a polish ...kids asking their dads ..."what car is THAT" ... why havent we got one ...

long live the 993 ..King of Porsches
