Reverse gear ratio about the same as 2nd gear. I hate backing up an incline!

There are many areas where you expect a hard-core performance focused sports car and instead find compromises that just make you shake your head. The gear ratios, the suspension, the seats, the steering wheel...

Yeah, but you can do a Rockford at almost 55 miles an hour!

Brad,
If your 993's wheel wells are below your 993's wheels, your car has more problems than a one-armed paper hanger in a windstorm.

Reverse right next to 1st without a lock out. That's a man's car!

Turning radius is worse in my 964 ... which is my daily driver! My wife's Escalade can be parked more easily.

Radio... whatever.

Offset this and that, whatever.

Agree with the immobilizer, it sucks.

Seat bolsters? What do you mean? I had new OEM padding and leather installed on my driver seat and it is glorious! The original seat foam has most likely gone bad with age.

Not all 911 have offset mirrors, only those that have the triangle on the window (993 and older). The offset is so you have a clear view of the mirrors.

On 996's and 997's, they are no longer offset as their windows don't have the triangular piece up front.

A few more that you may or may not disagree with ...

Voracious appetite for DME relays
Likes to chomp on ballast resistors too
Sounds like it's slugging a big gulp on start up
Likes to get all misty on you when the temperature and dew point are shaking hands
Has a funny little dagger for a front compartment catch that is responsible for '993 owners cleft pate syndrome'
... That is , of course , if you're lucky enough to have a lid that stays aloft
