Default Recomendation of shop in NJ

Can anyone chime in of who should I bring my car to if I need woek done in my 993. I am located in NJ area.

I heard of the company called Bodymotion, but never have any experience with them. If you know about this co, what do you think about them? Do they charge a reasonable rate?

Thanks in advance!

Bodymotion has an excellent reputation, and one of the few quality independents that operate in Monmouth/Ocean counties. The owner is a very accomplished Porsche racer and his shop does routine maintenance and over the top performane upgrades.

Pricing is fair, not cheap. Routine maintenance is usually a little less than dealerships although the local dealership to them, Schneider Nelson, sometimes can be very competitive with routine work.

If you are near the boarder of NY (rts. 17/87), then I recommend CIM in Central Valley. He's small but knows much.

Bodymotion is OK as far as 'the only game in town' locally for me. Prices are fair, workmanship is above average but customer handling I find to be somewhat 'abrasive'. I just had a 15000 service which seems to be a glorified oil change with a cabin filter replacement and they were less than half of the local dealer's cost. Schneider and Nelson wanted $700! Sheesh!

I'd go to Powertech in Rockaway for serious mods I think.

Bodymotion did my PSS-9 set up... I wasn't quite happy with it... the stupid rear drop link mount on the shock is tricky to set up... you would have to remove the entire shock assembly to adjust the drop link mount up or down. Mine came back to me uneven compared to the right side so I took it back and they really did not fix it ... so off to PowerTech I went... I am more than satisfied with Miike... Very personable also... Just so you know... they are 1 hr 1/2 away from me but its worth the trip.

Got the monster back from Powertech...PSS9's installed at RS height plus a couple mm's with a slight rake...they did a great job!!! (I'll post some pic's if you're interested...A great bunch of guys over there...Here something interesting, when I purchased the car in May I had it PPI'ed at a Porshe dealer in SC that told me the rear main was leaking. I had the guys at Powertech check it out while they were doing the suspension...they said it wasn't the rear main...turned out to be 2 loose bolts somewhere right above...The guys there removed the bolts, dryed up the area to confirm it wasn't the rear main and tightened them up...No leaks so far...They went out of there way, fixed my leak, and charged me pennies...Powertech A+
