Default Will 997 wheels fit?

Looking at purchasing a used set of wheels taken off a 997. Seller said that the wheels will fit late narrow body 993 but they weren't sure if they would fit on a 1995. I have a 1995. I'm not aware of any problems (other than adding the steering column brace since they are 18" wheels).

Shouldn't wheels that fit a late model 993 also fit a 1995?

Here's the link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=190170823644

Thanks!

I think someone here put 19" Lobster Claws on a 993. What are the offsets, or LINK to the wheel/info.

Seller says the following:

will fit late narrow body offset Porsche cars 997, 996 and 993
I'm not sure why it would fit a 97-98 NB but not a 95.

They are called Carrera III wheels. A bunch of threads in the last year about them on this forum. They fit, but possibly tight depending on tire choice. They'll definitely fill your wheel well.

Default Carrera III wheels!

Off an 05'. I think there are others on the board that have these as well. Add the steering rack brace.

One of the tires in the auction pictures looks brand new, where the others are used. Be careful that the new tire wasnt the result of hitting something and damaging the wheel as well. Just FYI.

Absolutely never buy used wheels without the right of return if they're bent. Ask me how I know.

Default Carrera III wheels

They fit the NB just fine, in my experience, and they look fantastic in my opinion (which Buford shares...)

Mine are new-car take-offs as well, though I'm sorry to say I paid a bit more than you are lookin' at...

I did put 5mm spacers up front, on advice of WheelEnhancement.com (no affiliation)

By the way, anyone with knowledge/feedback on the significance/potential issues/impact of the 5mm spacers, please offer...

Thanks! The pictures were a great help (since my 95 is also Polar Silver).

Did you try them without 5mm spacers?

Nope - didn't question "the authorities" that said I would need them.

It doesn't seem to me that something this wide... | | ...could compromise anything meaningful.

Can anyone help us out on this?

Thanks for the link. I just bought them for my 95 993. I'll let you know how it goes.
