What about the smog issue ... how does FL regulate that? Seems that's the biggest issue with this in CA ... besides the high 993 engine compression ratio.

Default Installation

The mechanic I use thinks the install should not take more than 8 hours. This estimation was with the motor already out for a clutch change. TPC is asking $3,600 and at one time they estimated a two week time period for installation.

I would think that someone could work on a setup using larger injectors +/- an adjustable FPR to get more even fuel metering across the cylinders

Default Take a Look

This would not deliver the promised 100 bhp but neither does it cost 10k installed. Take a look at this one:

Does anyone use their car as a DD? Did you have to have a leak down (I think that's what its called) test done before installation? Also, how would you describe its idling (steady, rough, and intermittent) after installation?

I use mine as a DD... I bought the car with the SC, so can't comment on testing... she idles great after she's warmed up ... deep throaty grumble ... a little loud (belt slapping sounds) when she's cold and I first start her up. It goes away quickly.

A buddy of mine went with his own Generation "3.5" TPC kit.

Stage 4 port and polished M90 superchager, ceramic ball bearings and viton seals.
75mm Throttle body port matched with the TPC inlet elbow.
Supercharger intake and outlet ported and port matched with TPC outlet elbow.

Pics attached.

Compare to stock TPC non ported charger outlet.

Hello

Just curious, with the supercharger, how much more HP do you get? I assume you can get a nice boost using the same engine size. What is the downside of having this mod done to the engine? eg life of engine etc?

tjangi,

although my tpc'd car built by Colin some years ago has been further modified you can get an idea of what it can do from what it did to my 993 tip. I'm not saying its good or bad when compared to other TPC'd cars but it gives you an idea.

Cheers, Mark.
