It was filmed on a German Autobahn, and its a place that can exist because the people there get something called "driver training" in order to handle driving on it. Note how sanely the guy is
driving while he is in areas with a speed limit. No tailgating, no speeding, no freaking out.
Then when he's in the "no limits" area, off he goes.
Here in the US, any idiot with $20 in his/her pocket can get a license. So we can't have Autobahns.
Look around you next time you're on a freeway in Atlanta. Do you really want to go 280 kmh with
all that stupidity around you ? Didn't think so.
Oh ya BTW the US highways won't support that kind of speed anyhow. They are crap compared to the
A-bahns.

Andrew: I lived in Europr several times. In may places you will see posted over the A bahn 80-100KM in the slo lane, 100 -140 (aboiut 85 mph) in the middle and the far left lane is for passing only so if you see a car gaining you must move over or you might get pulled over by a Porsche or fast Beamer or Benz with two plain closed cops in it. You have to pay then and there for a very pricey ticket or follow them downtown. As to Fast Freddy---I often cruised my big FIat 125 (like a 528 BMW) at over 200Km. Remeber this is a euro car, with proper gearing and more HP. BTW mine is going to have 2nd gear thru six replaced so I can get some performance somewhere besides on paper. My six weber 2.7 would suck my 993 up its tail pipe but I am hoping to make this all change. Like the expression goes.

yup, I've spent a bit of time in Europe, Sweden and Germany mostly, people don't hang in the left lane. It should be enforced here. If the Police need revenue, stop hittin' people for goin 76 in a 65, pop 'em for sittin' in the fast lane spacing out going 60 while on their cell phone. In LA this would get the average speed up a couple MPH easily. AND talk about generating tickets, they could do it all day on the 101, or 405 and never run out of these idiots.

When I drive in LA, cali...it pisses me off that no one moves over to let you pass. YOu have morons blowing my you on the right too........In montreal, its not a problem...people are conscious, or atleast a friendly high beam, gets them moving out of the way pretty quick.

amfab- I am about to move to sweden in the gothenberg area-kungsbacka-do you have any advice as to going fast in sweden-I am up to date with germany-I have driven in sweden for over ten years ,but I did not have my 993- which I am sending over with our allroad-I am bit of a lead foot-so would love some advice
