Did you have the thumbwheel adjusted to the low position? I turned my on for the first time today and it didn't seem that warm until I adjusted the thumbwheel.

I would love to have this option. Does anyone know if this is an add-on or will new seats need to be purchased?

Don't think mine has that option. I assume the controls are on the side of the seat near the other seat controls?

That is correct. Its a rheostat that you adjust the heating. It works like a charm!
I have them in my sports seats and on my 12 ways...
