Who Has Heated Seats?
I just tried mine out for the first time on this cool fall night and holy ****e! At first the back heated and I didn't feel the seat area and then all of the sudden they were HOT! They were hotter than my A4 and G35 ever got. Happy to have this option.

I have them on my Targa as well. I haven't had the car long enough yet to see what it feels like on a cold day. However, it looks like it's on a timer, as the rocker switch doesn't stay on but goes to a neutral position after you turn it on. On one of my other cars, the switch was on or off, and could easily be bumped on...made for interesting sensations when it was already warm out.

No light or way of knowing they are on. Kind of a basic on/top, off/bottom push swith with a thumb wheel adjustment top being high.

Nice for my wife on cool drives in the cab
The controls are a little different with the rocker on/off around the temp control wheel in the middle. My wife turns her own, then puts a fleece blanket over her when we go for evening drives with the top down. Its been done all summer in the Seattle area. Meanwhile, I'm in shorts and shirtsleeves. Good option for me.

I have heated seats and when I converted the standard seats into sports seat I replace the heat elements both in the seat and the back and kept the orginal switch to keep it looking OEM . I`ve never used them.... go figure !!!
but I sure like my converted bloster seats .
Cheers Guy

I didn't even know I had 'em in the cab until detailing the car recently...while vacuuming down in the rails, I spotted this new switch and put 2 + 2 together.
Went to a wedding recently and drove about 60 miles on a cool night w the top down around Midnight.
They were great!!!
The following Saturday it was back up to 90 and humid again, and we both thought...
at the same time, after about 20 minutes, sweltering... heyyyy, is your seat still on too?!
I'm pretty sure they were still in the "on" position. unless it was coincidence.
We "turned them off" and seemed to be cooler.
So *do* they end cycle on engine shutoff?
Either way, I'm a believer!

My MY98 993 has the seat heating option along with the optional sport/racing seats. Once familiar with the miniature, brail style controls, it’s an ease to use. Well, kind of…
I recall when ordering the C2S (April of '97) that the heating feature coupled with the optional sport/racing seats was limited in availability; an option combination that was on again, off again with Porsche's seating supplier. Hey, I've struck gold…eh!
