What does a wet / color sand ?? cost and do you think the results would be as dramatic on a white car as they were for that black beauty.

I color sand all my cars here is a before and after. Colorsanding can be done on any paint. What it does is removes all imperfections like scratches and orange peel. You are only removing a very small amount of the clear. jcoll1 you have clear on your car.

Mike: I'll PM you.

Danny: A place where you chill out. As vjd3 pointed out, it's also a synonym for Vancouver, BC.

993c2cab and Jason: adding to Arena993's description, orange peel is that texture that you see in paint finish that takes away from the reflection on the paint. By removing it, the area becomes more reflective and gives the appearance of being more shiny.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. I'm agonizing over selling it but its the right thing for me to do right now. I just hope that it stays in the family and at the very least I'll make sure the new owner appreciates her as much as I do. No rush to sell.

Jerry:

I start out with

1st step 3M 1500 wet
2nd step 3M 2000 wet
3rd step 3M 3000 Trzact on a DA (Dual Action) sander

Buffing:

Megs heavy cut cleaner on a foam cutting pad
Megs fine cut cleaner on a foam cutting pad
Megs swirl remover on a polishing pad
3M Perfect it glaze on a polishing pad
Megs Ploy Seal with a PC (Porter Cable) on a polishing pad
P21S with the PC on a polishing pad

Here is a 2003 Mercedes SL500 I did a few months ago and sold

I charge between $1000 - $1500.00 But this includes a full detail. Pulling the seats an so forth. Here is how to do an interiorwhich is included in the above price
