Darin at West End... Alignment and... brakes
I got my car realigned today and corner balanced now that I have my new wheels. I also dialed in a bit more negative camber (another negative 0.5). I still have not had any rubbing in the rear with my 11" wheels but I figure it couldn't hurt since I was previously running a very neutral alignment setup. Darin, as usual, was great. What was really awesome was he installed my brakes and rotors for me. It's been more than 2.5 years for sure since I had my brakes flushed (since that's how long I've owned my car). I've been contemplating a DIY but the pads and fluid has just been sitting there for the longest time. Finally I decided I had to get them done. Since I was aligning the car anyway, I figured I'd see if he'd do the brakes as well. We in Socal are lucky to have Darin and West End. If you need an alignment, or a brake job, give him a call.
BTW, now that I've seen the brake/rotor job, I'm sure I could do it myself next time, especially the pads.

FO3,
Gave Darin a call yesterday for my suspension install, excited to play his Dial for Time on Monday morning. Seems like a solid character. Thanks for the recommendation!

Darrin did my suspension install & alignment... very solid character, very knowledgeable, very meticulous and a very nice guy. FO3, was his son, Chris, there too? He's a great kid.

Don't know my alignment specs really. Darin was going to write them all down for me but we must have forgotten. He did my alignment last time, which he referred to as a factory sport setting, not very aggressive at all. This time around he dialed in another 0.5 of negative camber in the rear. Darin's son was not there.
When you go to his shop, bring some reading material. You will be there a long time. (which is a good thing because this is Darn taking his time). He still does all the work himself. For those of you who don't know, he was THE Porsche guy at Johnson's Alignment for a long time, which is next door to Tony Callas' shop.
I know where I am getting my brakes/clutch flushed next time in addtion to alignment work. I wonder what else he does on pcars?

I think my car is due for an alignment so I'll probably try to pay Darin a visit next time I'm in town
