Default Introduction w/Pictures

Hello - This is my first post, although I have been reading this great forum and learning for awhile. I decided that my first Porsche would absolutely have to be a 993 and preferably black. Last fall I got lucky and came across a local 1997 C2 for sale. Although it happened a little sooner than I expected, I decided to pull the trigger since it was exactly what I was looking for and there is hardly ever a 993 for sale in my area.

Here are some of the specifics: 1997 C2 with 28K miles, metallic black, grey interior, sport seats, stainless steel exhaust pipes, and carbon/aluminum shifter & brake handle. Since the purchase I have added the new wheels, Rennline pedals, and clear corners. I am currently waiting on the delivery of the Turbo S Ducts. This forum has obviously started me down the slope.

Due to the great information on this forum I have already accomplished my first repair with the successful replacement of the oil fan resistor. My next project will be the suspension. The previous owner did upgrade the springs to ROW M030 but kept the original shocks. I have already had an initial conversation with Viper Bob about options.

And of course the required pictures.

Nice -- but you totally need to get rid of that 'suv' look.

Nice car. Now it's time to join the slippery slop to insolvency.
