Yes, this is from the RUF Faszination video/DVD with "Sideways" Stephan driving the tires off the car that made RUF famous....Yellow Bird! The youtube title is incorrect, because it's not a 993, but I think a Carerra 3.2. Originally made in 1989, 469HP TT motor. When I show people the DVD at my house, their jaws drop.

OK, RUF....that explains the helicopter. Sounds like it's worth buying the DVD.

Thanks for the info Dan.

Alois Ruf brought that car to the Hershey Parade in 2005 and drove it around himself. A narrow body car that is the ultimate sleeper. Funny, but at the 2003 Parade in Tampa, Ruf's wife spoke at the Autocross Banquet and showed a preview video of the New Faszination tape they were making. It should a 996 Turbo Ruf doing the same type of routine. After ten minutes, it said "to be continued". Has anyone seen or know if they ever finished it?

Repost, but a Fantastic video!
For those interested, there's a yellow bird for sale in 911 Porsche World issue of this month. The owner is a former racing champion living in Jersey. His car is presented in an article in that issue.
Cheers

Thought it was interesting that the driver had no helmet, suit or gloves. Just a t-shirt and jeans. Couldn't quite pick out the shoes, but it looked like regular running shoes, too. Would have thought that a pro driving at speed would prefer being "suited up". Also would have thought that the track owners would have demanded at least a helmet.
