Default High Mileage 95 993

Hello everyone my is Baron Riddle from Tyler Texas. I just bought the very high mileage 95 993 that I have seen posted/ talked about on Renn ( 207231 after the trip from North Carolina to be exact) The car has a few issues but really a nice car. I have become a paying member today and look foward to many discussions on this great car. I have owned and rebuilt several older 911s in the past but dont feel comfortable with the 993 yet( I think that will come) . That is were you guys come in. Thanks for the help in advance.

Good pick up. At the price point advertised, I think you got a steal. Have fun with it, and Rennlist is an amazing resource for whatever you find needs doing.

Congrats!! Lets see 300,000!!!

I have 58,500 on my 95 C4 which averages to about 5000 a year. Im averaging about 6300 a year since owning it for almost 4 years.

I may hit 207,000 miles in 23-24 years at the rate Im going!!

Welcome and congrats.........I'm sure you will learn everything you need to take care of and repair your 993 here on Rennlist, that is, if you post some car **** for us all to enjoy!

FYI: the 95' Iris Blue 993's are the fastest, best handling and most beautiful 993's ever produced.....but then again I'm somewhat biased........LOL

Enjoy your new toy!

Default High Mileage 993 Issues already

Well the day has not been good. Washed the car today looks great, degreased the engine, replaced the starter. tried to start the engine and it back fired and blew the left side of the intake off. Sounds bad but it did not crack the in- take. It looks like I need new dist, caps rotors and plug wires. Vertex still the best deal? Thanks for the messages.

Sorry to hear about your problem. Vertex, Pelican, Paragon, all have good prices. Also check Ebay... Just make sure you don't buy the Bosch "Made in Brazil" plug wires. Make sure you get the German stuff.
