The US Army MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) 13F is Fire Support Specialist. A 13F is a member of a Fire Support Team. Given the military penchant for making acronyms into words, F+S+T = FiST; ergo, a member of a Fire Support Team is a "FiSTer."
Actually, it's just my last name, first initial

Don't know if this has been asked here recently, but it came up on another web forum I frequent and I found the responses to be interesting...
Some of our user names are obvious, some aren't.
Mine is "Steve 96C4S" which is a no brainer for figuring out what it is. It's obviously my first name and my car. Some of your user names are more unusual/bizarre. Can you explain your user name?
Thanks for participating.

as a teenager i had a big fish tank with 250 liter = ~90 gallons. The fish which I had and were my special interest are Thropheus Duboisi. Often it was more interesting to watch them how they are doing in a group than watching TV. I miss to have a big fish tank but with all the moving over the last decade no chance.

As a golf nut, somewhere along the way one of my golfing buddies, gave me the nickname of Fullbooker due to my "full" John Daly style backswing; and my last name, of course. Full+Booker=Fullbooker.

JPP is just my initials ... although I am called JP by many people my actual first name is Jon Paul (no I'm not French, it was an aunt that chose that to keep my parents from naming me Jon Eugene for 'Jon-E'
....) but of course, you can't go through grade and high school with 'Jon Paul' so I went with JP and the kids called me 'JP squared' because ... well, kids are cruel :-)
The 'Pope' moniker was given to me by Boulderbobo in a post here on Rennlist ... and no, I'm not a recovering Catholic

I used to be a bartender when I was going through school and when some people got really drunk they would transpose the T and the B. They would slurr out "hey Tarbender.." and since I've always loved cars and motorcycles, the name Tarbender seemed to be a fit for motorcycle and car forums.
I know it is not ethically, socially and legally acceptable anymore to feed people drinks until they can barely walk but, hey, this was back in the 80's and I had to pay for tuition.

Probably answered this before, but when threads go cold I tend to delete the update function.
At risk of being repetitive............I signed up with AOL about 20 years ago, and racer911 was taken. Got signed up on Stan Hanks Porschephiles email list, and was introduced to "the internet."
Funny thing about race/racer 911 though. When I set that up I'd never actually raced (as in wheel-to-wheel) a 911. Or Porsche, for that matter. PCA Club Racing was just starting, as well as POC wheel-to-wheel competition. And as much as I'd hoped to get the beater 924S configured and out there, it hadn't happened. So I was a decade plus into 911s, having owned two shops, but "only" was an autocrosser/time trialer/instructor with them. Racing happened with the Scirocco, or odd sports racer or formula car I could talk my way into.
So it's gone from race911@aol.com, to race911@gmail.com, and for the new year I thought I'd go ahead and grab the domain race911.com. Oops, squatter has it. So I got race911.net.
