C'mon, tell us more details, impressions . I am on the fence about whether to do this mod or not. I assume it gave the car a bit more snap?? Any other changes done at the same time??

Hey Patfat,
Is your car black or dark blue and were you on Sherwood Hall this morning? I saw a dark 95 993 there this morning (I'm living in Alexandria until my condo is ready in DC). If so I don't live to far away and would love to go for a ride w/ the lwf. I have the dmf in my RSA and would like to see if I can feel much of difference.
Thanks,
Jim

If I didn't have a MY95 I'd have done this in a heartbeat.
I drove FisterD's 993 with a LWF and it definitely revs quicker. Blip the throttle in neutral and it's very apparent there is much less weight to spin.

Torque tube is the essentially the front drive shaft. He disconnected his 4WD system... Now if he gets a 2WD conversion kit, he will also loose 135 lbs of dead weight ..

The LWF is amazing. As Chris said though the clutch is either on or off, so it takes a little getting used to. On upshifts the throttle lift and subsequent rev drop matches revs perfectly. On downshifts it's so much easier to match revs as compared to the DMF IMHO. The car is so much "snappier" and much quicker to spool up with much improved throttle response. The wrench who did my rebuild just recently says that the LWF/Clutch package is good for about 1.25-1.5 seconds in an AX lap. I have yet to confirm that however it seems very likely due to the sense I get from my brown-eye-ometer.
