I'm sorry if this has already been addressed, but why aren't you parting out and taking it back to stock? Is it too far gone? As I'm sure you realize, you're aiming for a VERY narrow audience with a track prepped tip.

I might still part it back to stock in spring if no sale over winter..

Right now I'd rather see if I can find someone for it as is..

BUT I wil indeed conceed and part back to stock in spring if no-sale by then..

..then all sorts of goodies will be up for grabs...

I agree with putting this back to stock.

If your car was manual, there would be much better chance to find a new owner but a tip with track mods has to be one of the smallest audienses there is.

I'd expect in the end better overall price too when you sell the mods separately (i.e. those wheels of your are very good sellers, I might be interested in "brake swap" etc.) and car as stock or close to stock.

Good luck anyways!

o.k. thanks.. the money on the ebay ad is spent.. I knew going into it it was probably a very small chance of buyer but I wanted to try..

In the spring I might have to work my way back to stock brakes, etc. and sell off the goodies so we'll see how it goes for now...

Chris,

Good Luck and I hope it works out for you without parting out the car. But if you do please keep me on the #1 spot for the one part.

TIA

thanks.. who knows.. if the sale attempt goes really patheticly, I might just part out the whole car to get more money (although that would indeed be sad to do)... but the thought did cross my mind as well... it's worth more in parts than it is whole (sad but true)

seems high for an automatic car.

If you did find someone that wanted to pay that price for a track car, wanted all that you had on it, i am thinking the auto trans would kill the deal, dont know many people tracking cars that buy an automatic when a very capable 6 speed manual is available.

nice looking car though

we shall see...

ironic how tiptronic was MORE expensive when I first bought the car... go figure....

oh well... we shall see....

we got $39k for a 95 993 with 102k miles so I figured I was in the right territory for my track set up with only 42k original owner miles...

so we shall see...

Why don't you tell us the reserve and then we will all bid it up to that - then the next bid will be the one....In the tips defense I will say that I simply spank mine around town and it is a hoot - also kinda nice to not have to shift all the time.

It is a little specialized but also a great looking car. I was amazed when I was in Palm Springs last month that every single Porsche I saw at the dealership there was a tip. Seriously, not a clutch pedal in one car new or used. So somebody obviously buys them. Hopefully someone that likes going fast on the track will be interested too. Good luck with the sale Chris. Hope you aren't out of a p-car too long.

thanks!

I'm hoping to find that one person who sees it and says: WOW! Exactly what I'd want to do and that person does a 'buy it now' and everyone is happy!

chris i too wish ya the best on selliing... i think you'll get some action on ebay.

it's weird in socal tips seem to move pretty well b/c of traffic (& maybe more easy for the wife to drive). & your 993 is so nice!

get your car in front of more people & you'll find the buyer. $40k seems a very good deal imho.
