Chris,
Good luck with the auction - the car looks beautiful!

You may wish to edit this or explain further:

- Oil changes were done twice a year with Mobil 1 15w50 and always both oil filters.

- Most recent oil change was done in July 2005 with Mobil 1 and factory OEM oil filters.

If all the cars for sale were tips, doesn't that mean that nobody is buying them? j/k

Andreas

o.k.?

Do you mean I should explain that 993s have 2 oil filters and most dealerships ignore the 2nd oil filter in oil changes?

...or the fact that I changed the oil long before the factory recommended oil change interval?

not sure what else I should explain there...

If you change the oil twice per year how come the last change was over a year ago. I think that is what he means,

THANK YOU!!

I didn't even realize my typo ... I mean July of THIS year!

Thank you for pointing that out. I'm living in the past... and did a typo on the year.

I guess it is too late to do the update in my current auction due to bids but I put in the typo correction. Oh well.. I guess I should have had someone else do a proof-read before I posted.. ARG!!!!

You can't edit the auction once there are bids but you can add to it, it's done all the time for corrections.

That wouldnt be the first time I have seen that on Ebay. Amazing how many zero rated feedback and new people end up bidding on high ticket items.

I listed my 77 Bronco about a year ago for a couple of days and I was amazed how many people thought I was interested in trading it for 95 Mustang GT with the interior riped out and a couple of quads. The only thing I was interested in trading was my Bronco for $$$$. I have done a lot of Ebay over the past 6 years and Im amuzed by some of the things people ask or try to barter with.

Good luck with the auction!!

We must not neglect that its one of the biggest market since some time now. The Ad has been on ebay for 1 day and already over 500 people checked it.
Although few might be potential buyers, but there is no better shopping window out there. Good luck Chris, fingers crossed.

geo i agree.

i once posted a car on autotrader before getting on the plane for ny (from l.a.) ... by the time i landed i had a voice mail from my sis telling me the car sold to someone with 10 miles from the house.

i say, never underestimate the power of the net... even ebay.

i confess. i bought my 993 cab on ebay & drove it home across country. may do the same w/ my next too. now w/ rennlist, sure i'd be able to get a fellow lister's help (looking @ the car) & direction on where to ppi..................... friggin' "wired" now compared to the floundering buyer i was before this place. sweet. gotta' say thanks to john & jenn for that.

thanks for the encouragement everyone..

ironicly we did buy eric's former 95 993 off buy-it-now ebay and drove it home 2200 miles (no inspection or ppi... just ebay rating to go by)...

...my 993 might get driven away yet... I'll keep my fingers crossed!!!
