The DMF weighs 13607grams, the LWF weighs 5000g and the starter ring gear for the LWF adds another 750g. The solid clutch disc for the DMF weighs 1800g and the sprung-hub clutch disc for the LWF is 2000g.

Here's the LWF,

The stock unit for a 964 was over 40 lbs (assembled with clutch). The LWF for the 964 was almost less than half!

Okay, name this flywheel. It weighs 13lbs and is steel not aluminum. Just removed it and would like to know which flywheel I have.

Was your car done by Andial? My guess it is a stock LWF that they added some weight to if so.

The factory LWF is not aluminum either afaik.

The Andial MWF weighs 17-19 pounds, the flywheel in Bradford's photo still has the starter ring gear attached so if he removed that and weighed just the flywheel he'll have 11 pounds minus however much was removed to balance it. I believe the Fidanza/AASCO flywheel has the timing gear riveted to it (it doesn't look anything like this anyway) so this one is probably just a regular LWF except for the four large holes drilled into it (for balancing?)

LWF and andial MWF are the same but there is a small balancing weight of a few pounds which would be removable, if I remember correctly from their info
