Possible.
My Red Book says the last VIN number for US/Canada bound cars ended in 1353. The ad says this car's VIN ends in 1327. It's feasible the other's ended up in Cananda because he does say this is the last US car. It's hard to tell because the Red Book also says the number produced was only 1292. No form of math I know can start at 001, go to 1353 and only have 1292 produced; unless of course some of the VIN numbers are skipped.

Interesting, I though the last 993's were built in March of 98. I also thought that the 993 that was reported to be Sienfelds with the LAST plate on it was a different color.

JS has the last air-cooled Porsche to come off of the assembly line. Notice how this one is said to be "the last air-cooled to leave the factory for the US". So who said JS's car was a US model? Having seen the PR piece ,with JS and all of the Porsche management around the car, it was truly the "last" car to emerge from the line.....just as he hunted down the very first.
I think that "911" on the rear supposedly being a factory piece is BS, but then what do i know???

I find it really uncommon of porsche to certify that they built the last air-cooled Porsche.
They will never certify such a thing. the last 993 maybe, but generalizing and stating last air-cooled porsche? knowing the germans, no way.

Something isn't right here... I saw Jerry Seinfeld's jellybean blue 993 at the Pebble Beach Concours d"Elegance back in 1998 on the 18th fairway. It was registered in CA with the license plate "LAST". Hmmm...

"Seinfelds van, Seinfelds van!!!
"What did he say?"
"I think he said Son of Sam. Oh, my God!!"
This is the 3rd Seinfeld Porsche I have seen for sale in the past few months. Think Sloan still has one, saw a 97 Turbo on Ebay last week, and now this one.
