Hi Bill,
I believe the gears are different on the 993 throughout the production years in order to meet some noise limits on the streets... Would you know what are these differences? I guess 97 and 98 models received longer gears than 95 or 96 cars...

All US and Swiss models had the G50/20 gearbox. ROW had G50/21 initially, then towards the end, the G50/20 as well.
