Default Sweet ride

Does it count if you bought a house with a cool garage to make sure your 993 is comfy??

rickg87,

Who makes the aluminum cabinets in your garage? I've been looking, but it's difficult to pull the trigger on such expensive cabinets without seeing them in person! The black cabinets in your picture look a lot like some of the cabinets I've been looking at...

It is a kind of ceramic with porcelain finish, nice and easy to clean, but do not drop your wrenches there. Whenever I work on my cars I bring a large rubber mat with me. Good luck with your garage project!!

Best,

Freddy

How to figure how many car spaces you need:

1. Figure how many cars your wife will let you have.
2. Take that number and multiply by 4
3. Add 4 more.
4. Make sure your wife's space is closest to the door leading to the house.

Funny that this topic should come up again , as tonight is the first night that my 993 lies indoors , in it's purpace built garage.

It's refeshingly small in area , but is very very well insulated/damp protected , in an effort to elude that fiercest of foes , the dreaded tin worm.
I was really surprised to find that the space was still very warm (It's 5C outside) a few hours after I first parked her , due to residual engine heat.

RESULT!!

Moduline are the cabinets, At the time they were the nicest for the price.
I would recommend them. Good quality

...the dreaded tin worm...shamrock
You folks who live in humid environments have your work cut out for you, protecting your cars from rust.

...the space was still very warm...
It's amazing how much heat they soak up. Even at - 30 C outside, our garage rarely gets below - 10 overnight, if 2 cars are in there cooling off.
