Rear facing infant seat for use in 993 rear seat

I've searched the achieves on this subject for a few days and have drawn a blank.
The newest threads on child or infant seats are all over a year old with some dating back to 2001. Just about all of them contain broken links to pictures that have been deleted from the server.
I recently acquired a 98 C2S and would like to tank my baby in the back seat with the wife crammed in the front on a trip.
She's 7 months and weights 16 lbs.
As of today I have tried to fit a Britax Companion, Grayco Snugride, and a Costco Tourevia (convertible in rear facing mode) back there.
The Britax is too big, but it’s built like a tank. We’ve used it as her primary mode of transportation since she was a hatched. The Grayco's foot print is the exact opposite of the 911 rear seat. The Costco like the Grayco has an exact opposite foot print for rear facing, not that I would use it, but it looks as if will work for forward facing.
In many of the old threads there were lots of responses saying they had successfully used a “Grayco Infant seat”. No model information was giving.
I would appreciate it if anyone who's has success used a rear facing infant seat please post the exact model seat they've used and a description and opinion on how it fit.

Don't know about Graco but I've heard the Britax Roundabout is the model Porsche rebrands as their own. Might want to try to find a local baby store that carries them and give it a try.
Also, I've heard that to fit a car seat, sometimes they fit better with the car's back seat cushion removed. Tried that?
All I've got is what I've heard. Haven't got the p-car yet, but I'm keeping a list of stuff like this for when I have to convince the wife to let me have it.

Rear facing in the rear seat is going to be impossible unless your wife likes resting her chin on the dashboard.
Front facing convertible is easy. Feed your daughter and get her up over 20lbs so she's legal for front facing.

He wont be riding the C4 until he can face forward in the back seat. No trips will be taken, I like traveling in the SUV with the family-too much crap to file in the car. Short, few hours trips, thats another story but overnight and hundreds of miles of distance, I SUV it.

Slightly off topic but surely of use to you soon enough: I just bought a new-in-box Britax Starriser on eBay for US$33 (though it cost US$65 to ship to Singapore!) for use in the back seat of my 1996 993 C4S. The fit is not perfect but is acceptable.
It looks identical to the Porsche OEM child seat which I heard was discontinued in 2004 (FYI that seat would have cost about US$900 from our local dealer).

$900! I actually have the Porsche labeled version--came with the car. It's for 37 lbs and up so my 14 mo old won't be ready for a few years. Wonder what it's worth used...

On a related topic, the 996 GT3 seats don't fold forward do they? I guess aftermarket seat replacements are limited if you need to put the little ones in the back.
Alon, are you going to buy 2 for the twins?

Ty,
I know you can on the 97 and 98 models. The 96's you can't with the factory parts, not sure on the 95s. There are after market kits but if you can go factory you should.

Perhaps you could also try emailing the current sellers to ask whether they can ship overseas, try a US-based freight forwarder or just wait for another seller who is willing to ship overseas.
