The 993 board was and is my first P-car family, even before PCA. I don't think I could own my car w/o the help I have recieved from the list...my brother and his tempermental 951 are even more grateful for the help and support found here.
There are members that I have always wanted to meet in person and Ray was at the top of the list. With his proximity to me I thought it only a matter of time before our paths would cross as a DE or swap meet. I never did get the chance so I'll say here what I would have in person had we met.
Most of us go our whole live w/o coining a catch phrase, Ray will live on in the virtual community here. "Do a search lazy bones'", never got tired of reading it and waiting for the reactions that would follow.
Thank you Ray for being such a great contributer to the board.

Wow, what a shock. He was certainly his own person and said it like it was.
Got to like that about him. I sure hope that someone that knows him shows someone in his family the responce he has generated here from complete strangers.

Pops, you will be missed! Needless to say I was shocked to see this post on the Rennlist.

If it wouldn't confuse newbies, I'd say rename the search button "Calvo" or "RC Search" then when you click on it you get "Search the forums, lazybones". 
The Rennlisters would know.

Loved reading Ray's posts...he was a great bull**** detector. I was always honored when he jumped on one of my posts. Ray will be missed...what a guy.
