I guess that puts it in perspecitive except for the guy whose car is his significant other.

My wife takes "big dawg" out for a spin once a week - but, as to the P-car, nah, she's not really interested *_*

 

That would be a big negative on the possiblity of any woman EVER driving my 993.

And then only if I had a little too much to drink and she was driving me back to my place to spend the evening.

 

Just to be clear there are many women (ok, well maybe a small few) that I would let drive my car- my wife is just not one of them. She'a bad driver and might admit it on the right day.

That said there are a bunch of men that I would not let drive my car too.

 

My GF learned how to drive on my 951. She loved to drive it. She also learned to drive my bike, although she dosn't ever ride it. She drives my 6-speed Jeep all the time. She is just as much of a car nut as I am, right now she is reading my copy of Bruce Andersons Performance handbook! When I would work on my car she would come over and lay under the car with me it was great! So when I get another P-car I will have no problem letting her drive it.

 

Does my GF drive my 993? Uh, yeah. Of course she does. Duh. This is her below.

 

There have only three people drive Trixie since I bought her 2 years ago.

My buddy Ben drove it (first time driving any kind of Porsche) after we installed the Supercups - I wanted to hear them from outside the car!

I'd let a random female drive it long before a random male. How many wives have said they are afraid of it? Guys will want to see what it'll do!

I offered my wife to drive not long after we got it.

Then sat there telling her how to drive it.

Now she always refuses when I ask if she wants to drive.

It worked! But don't tell her.

 

I have to say, I don't really get this and am fascinated by the responses. Why are so many of you so protective about a car ? You know, as opposed to a person ...

 

i wonder the same, but perhaps it's because they 'get' cars. they understand them. the car brings them joy. wifes, on the the other hand...

 

My girlfriend has driven mine but she was really nervous about it. She can drive it whenever she wants but never choses to do so. I have let several people drive it and have no issues with it whatsoever. At the end of the day, its just a car in my opinion.

 

After I realized that my 2004 Cayenne Turbo was really her car, I decided I had to get one of my own, so I picked up a 2000 Carrera.
