My wife can drive it whenever she wants. She used to frequently drive it to her school (elementary teacher) and her kids would all get a kick out of it. You should have seen them when she fired up the Supercups inside the underground parking lot! She's careful about parking, and the very low ride height, and loves to get on it when appropriate. She drives her MINI in the PCA DE events, can heel and toe, drift nicely etc. I'm a pretty lucky guy.
BTW, the best way to not have to worry about the cost of mods, is to get your wife interested enough to not only enjoy, but encourage mods. The only downside is when I do something new to the Porsche, she asks if we can do the same improvement to the MINI! When I bought new driving shoes, she wanted a pair also!

I got her an Ocean Jade 996 Cab two years ago, and she is loving it everyday. It's a rare color but she said it's the best Porsche color. She calls her car "Minty".

My SO can anytime, but he doesn't very often. He has his Elise to drive, and he is pretty smitten with it. There is truly no accounting for taste.

wow... I'd hate to run into you at a DE with me (female) as your instructor...

...so far I only ran into that type of ('no woman drives my car attitude') once at the track and thankfully I was NOT his instructor

My wife has always loved to drive our Boxsters , and she considers the 987s " her car". However , since the arrival of the 993, she has driven it more than I have, and she is loving it. The bright spot here is that she shares my enthusiasm for these cars and her drive to work is a nice high speed 40 mile country road drive. I just wish my drive to work was as pleasant as hers. She is in the 993 as I write this and I am at the office working. Life is just not fair!!

My wife used to take Waldo out once in a while. She loved the attention and the speed. For some reason (perhaps she's noticed the unhealthy attachment I have for Rufus), she has no interest in driving Rufus.

Whew!
