My thoughts exactly. I saw several ROW C4S's with full leather interior and the option codes on the sticker said nothing about any leather at all.. Thus it must be standard, I take it..

My German '96 brochure clearly states that full leather was standard on the C4S.

Its a shame full leather was and still is an option here in North America. The interior and the orignal seats that came with my car are only partial leather (seat surfaces with vinyl sides) however the hardback sports seats that are in there now, from what I can tell are full leather all surfaces.

Options from my 97 C4S. Full leather is not one of the codes.

My '96 C4S has full leather, including all the dash, headliner, center AC vents, instrument bezel rings, console, door inserts, door handles, etc.
BTW, I am selling my leather door inserts, perfect condition. PM me if interested.

Titleist1, au contraire. My '96C4S also has the leather E brake tray. The rest of the console is vinyl. The seats, jump seats, seat belt recievers, Ebrake handle and knee bar are leather. All the rest is vinyl. Weird choices these.

Questionable... the phony French stitch on the leather air bag cover on the 996 3 spoke wheel.
I would prefer a simpler, single piece of leather. I think it's a misguided and unneccesary attempt to make the point that it's "real leather". It bugs me so much I'm almost of a mind to change it out for the vinyl, which makes no pretense.

My bog-standard full-leather 993 (not S, or T, or TT, or T-S) has the leather covered tray too.

For what it's worth, I have a ROW 1996 993 C4S that has factory leather on the leading edge of the dashboard (with the stitching), lower dashboard, glovebox, centre tray (same level as the glovebox), door handles, door bin lids, door panels (including door caps) and centre console (but not under the e-brake and not around the safety belt receivers...). It also has all-leather seats.

It has option codes 939 (seat cover, rear draped leather) and 982 (soft leather look or draped leather seat covers).

I think its the 09991 that makes the leather option. I beleive that is the Exclusiv code.
I have a Flamenco red interior with leather dash, door panels center console and do not have a code for it other then the 09991, again Exclusiv. I do happen to knwo that car was ordered as part of the exclusiv program with euro delivery.
