Mine came with same wheels, I'm the 3rd owner and I have all the history with no prior invoices for wheels. I am keen to know if these were avail as option in 97 and mine came with them from factory?
Window sticker just says 17" wheels w/cup design rims.

TSB 4440 states the 17" Carrera wheel in '97 (wrongly-called Boxster) were available on the 993 as an option - but in that document, the 'Cup Design' wheel is the so-called Cup1; the 'Cup Design 93' is the so-called Cup2.
So that doesn't solve anything

It's the thought that counts...
Thanks. I am being lazy, go find and unbox them to read the pn.
Without a doubt I can feel the difference (lighter) compared to the 3 piece I also have when driving, plus the larger sidewalls make a change to the feel. I chose looks over performance at the moment - I need $ for magnesium....

Looked at the first 60 pages: sad to see so many pics no longer available and members that have moved on, even more so members that have passed on…
Then looked at all of the 2023 pics. Nice cars, all!

As far as I know the wheels are original on my '95 993. I've owned the car for over 16 years, and believe I'm the 4th owner based on the paperwork I have. The original window sticker lists 17" Light Alloy Wheels as an option for $1378. No other paperwork showing wheels purchased over the 29 year history.
I also own a '98 Boxster, and the wheels do look very similar on the Boxster and my 993
Not sure if that helps . . .
