I'm not sure how this would've been an option as both cars shown are 1995 models and the 17 inch twist (or so called Carrera 2) wheel was produced from either 1996 or 1997-2004 for Boxsters and 996s. 993s were obviously still coming off the assembly line when both of the other models were being built so I suppose it's possible this could've been an option on the later 993s. But this doesn't satisfactorily explain the "17" light alloy wheel" option at additional cost on both window stickers. The simple explanation would be that the wheels were indeed an option- the production years just don't make sense.
