Default Gauge mod questions for those who have already done so:

Assuming black dash with grey leather int. (Arctic ext.):

Alu rings?
White or alu faces?

Both?

Any pics would be helpful.

TIA

Rings with stock backround. Not to "bling" just a nice classy enhancement

I got those same gauge rings (from the first pictures above) and love them. The only cover the inner portion of the bezel, so they are not overpowering. As you will see from the last group buy thread, the vendor was www.armaturenringe.de/. No affiliation, etc.

Brushed aluminum gauge rings (new tach. too). I am not partial to white gauge faces.

Did you purposely get a guage face with 7000+rpm redline, or was that the only one available in that style? Looks nice, you don't have to rotate the tach with that thing

It was the only one they could do in 90 degree offset (as the 964 and 993 faces are backlit mylar you can't get custom faces like the 3.2 and SC gauges).

I bought a used tach from a wrecker and NH Speedometer did the "face lift". While the redline is at 7200 (not 6800), at least I can see when I am getting close to time to shift.

I had rotated my tach before but found the turn-signal indicator lights pointing up and down looked "kludgy".

Marc
p.s. Perhaps I'll spring for some titanium con-rods, valve springs, etc. and re-chip it to a 7200 redline.
