I am building a engine for friends 914. We are doing a lot of mods to the car and when it's done it'll be a 150hp 1800# go kart. We'll be using a 914-GT body kit. If it was mine I'd paint it Gulf-Porsche blue and orange, but he wants to go with Subaru blue.
Is the GP color scheme to over done or over-the-top?

Even though it's not on your list, my vote goes for Rivera Blue. Seems like a half way point, and it's a factory color (not to mention my fav P color).

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and this time it's what he perceives as looking good.......even if it is a non factory caca blue.

Do the Gulf/Wyer colors. I've seen some early 911's painted in this scheme and they look freakin' hot .

I don't know why I ever bother ever posting my opinion since I always seem to agree with Mark. The gulf-porsche colors are hot.

I think the Gulf Blue/Orange would look great.
If you go with a solid color, Mexico Blue.
