Default The 993 Calendar is here!

The calendars finally showed up yesterday, and I'm very pleased to say that they look fantastic! I have the store front up and running on my site, so please drop by... and buy a calendar.

A few things:

First, thanks to everyone who submitted photos. We ended up with a great collection of photos... er... ART. I do apologize that some I couldn't use, but upsizing to print quality on an 8.5 x 11 needs plenty of data behind an image and some were borderline on resolution... not on quality.

Second. Thanks to rennlist in general. You might wonder about a sponsorship logo next to my name. I have talked with Jenn about this and I will be making a donation to rennlist as part of this effort, and not taking on a full "sponsorship" as of now. So they cleared me to promote.

About the calendar: There are 13 months - starting with March 2006, ending with March 2007. There are 13 full page 993's and a total of 22 993's in the calendar. The calendar is 8.5 x 11 inches closed, 8.5 x 22 open. You will find pictures of 993's belonging to:
  1. Nelson Lee
  2. Leland Pate
  3. Terry Adams
  4. me
  5. Kelly Kim - from the world's smallest rennlist meet in Hawaii
  6. Chet Marfatia
  7. Bob Brooks - ViperBob
  8. Randy Welch
  9. Mark Wilson
  10. Steve Michaelson - with Rufus
  11. Zdenek Kaspar
  12. Andreas Walter
  13. ... and others.

Also - prices. I've tried to make this as cheap as possible. Turns out the per unit price is inversely proportional to the quantity printed. I found a pretty good deal and got the price down as low as possible for what in the printing business is considered a "very low quantity." So the price per calendar is $17, which isn't all that bad. For shipping, I'm using the US Post office priority mail so that it can be put in a hard cardboard, bend resistant envelope. The cost for postage is $4.05. If anyone is in the Rockville, MD to Annapolis, MD general area, feel free to email me and we can work out a local meet.

Other stuff - I'm doing all payments through PayPal. I don't want to get in the business of even being a middle man to anyone's credit or other personal or financial information. I can guarantee you that your address and email - which are the only bits kept on my website - will NOT be given to anyone.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM me or email me at admin@rennphotos.com.

Thanks!

Brian,

I ordered 2 calendars! I'm obviously very excited.

Thanks for all your hard work on this project. I really hope that it works out for you financially, so these kinds of projects can continue.

Yehaw.

Thanks for the early launch support, and your encouragement Steve. I'd be lying if I didn't say that I wouldn't call it hard "work." Let's see, combine photography - my hobby -, computers - my livelihood -, and Porsche's - well, you know what that is - and it doesn't really add up to work. I've already learned a lot about all 3 facets of this and really enjoyed putting this together. My wife, on the other hand, now she thinks I'm crazy... and this was just the icing on the cake.

I'm trying to order one for delivery to the UK, but there is no delivery method to selsect and it won't let me go any further.

Are you able to post to the UK? How much will delivery be?

Hey guys... I'll check on shipping for outside continental US. Still kind of a novice on configuring some of the shopping cart experience stuff, but I'll get it added tonight. Kelly, sent you a pm...

Should have noted this earlier... order 3 or more and I'll pay shipping. It will automatically show it in the cart that shipping is free for those orders.

Brian, I couldn't tell from the website, and I apologize if this has been asked before... How is the calendar laid out? Does it have squares to write stuff in? I ask because I wanted one of the facory calendars, but there wasn't a place to write anything.

Thanks,
Jeff
