Default Time limit on harness recall

This may be a really stupid question, but I was wondering if there was a time limit on getting the harness repaired under the recall. Does anyone know? TIA

DFarrow, thanks

I guess I can find my local region's newsletter, locate the dealer ad for its number and call and find out. I can be really lazy without even trying.

How do you find out if yours was already done...should the dealer be able to find out or is there a website you can use?

I think if you call the dealer with your VIN, they can look it up to see if the recall has been performed. I was just thinking I wouldn't waste my time if the recall time had expired. I plan to call today.

the dealer can tell you if you provide the VIN as can PCNA. IIRC, it also shows up on a Carfax

There is no time limit on the recall; I had mine done three weeks ago.

In the USA and Canada you can call 1-800-PORSCHE and PCNA will tell you if there are any open recalls for your VIN.

Nope. The recall was applicable for 95 and 96 MY. The info used to be on a site somewhere but has since been taken down as to which VIN #'s were affected.

Here's the list of vins that are covered by the harness inspection TSB.

Do they only affect the narrowbodies or are the widebodies affected as well?

if it applies to tts and NB, I assume it applies to NA WBs as well.

In my case, the process was 2 steps. Even though my VIN fell in the range, they had to inspect the car for something first (more than one harness supplier - check for the defective one?) and once that was done and met the criteria, they ordered the harness and called me when it came in to set up an appointment. The first step was done while I waited - less than 30 min.
