Default Hand Painted Center Caps

Hi All--
I hang out on the 911 board mainly, but wanted to post this note here for you to see.

I have several sets of hand painted center caps finished in silver metallic that match the stock Porsche wheels perfectly. These are METAL center caps with the ring-type mount, not the standard plastic ones with prongs. The crests are hand painted in authentic Porsche colors to match the hood crest.

$175 shipped

I also have center caps to fit Fuchs, Cookie Cutter, Phone Dial or 5 and 7 spoke wheels. In addition, we have a limited supply of hand painted emblems that fit on the chrome/steel hub caps of older 356/911/912 steel wheels.

Click on the link in my signature for more details.

Steve,
You may wish to consider a few high-resolution close-ups. It's tough to see the detail in the photo you provided.

Yep, the pics are a bit grainy.

Guys--
Try this one; Rennlist has limits on the size of pictures but this one fits. If you want others, shoot me your email address.

Also, better pictures can be seen on my website:

Thanks,
Steve

Unless you SEAL these things with some sort of clearcoat they will not hold up with repeated washings. (Ask me how I know).

Dan--
Not sure who did yours, but the ones that I did and that have been on my car for 8+ years look as good as new. And I've never had anyone that I've sold a set to come back and say that the paint has worn away.
BTW, I've experimented with a clearcoat in the past and don't use one. The clearcoat makes the entire cap VERY shiny and it (to my eye) doesn't blend in with the wheel.

What kind of paint do you use, Steve?

I would think that One-Shot would last a long time and be easy to use.

The silver is Wurth's silver metallic wheel paint. The crests are Testors enamel.
