eBay 1997 Porsche 911 993speedster, item #110354719801.
FS since 2006 or earlier, in various states of completion. Last time it was on eBay ('08), it was advertised as a completed car. At least the seller's clearly representing as merely a project car now.

I would think someone could buy a high-mile cab and all the Speedster conversion stuff for less than $42K... May be they really liked the color????

I could see $42K for a running car with engine/trans easy. Just replace the front fenders and hood with OE parts, remove the rockers and rear wing, then refinish the wheels to something less blingy. Then you'd have a pretty sweet 993 speedster with sport seats, alcantara trim, etc for less than $50K I would think.

A $42K roller is a bit out there I think.
