Engine Mount Needed!
To my suprise I looked under my car today and there was an oil leak... I looked further and it appears to be coming from a motor mount. Is this common for them to leak there oil out and does anyone have an extra one that they have replaced with an RS one. Just until I can afford the upgrade.

Thats a bummer. I have already given a spare set away, sorry. I am sure someone else has a few laying around..

If you can find a used one laying around that someone can part with . . . well then you're in like Flynn. But keep in mind when you go to replace/up-grade . . . the RS solid core motor mounts are actually cheaper than the stock ones. Some like them . . . some don't. I do.

How convienent this thread popped up.
I am getting ready to order a set of RS mounts.
Gert has them for ~$325.
On Pelican Parts they list:
Engine Mount, Solid Type Sport/Race Version, Set of 2, 911 Turbo (1995-98), Each
S-375-101-80
(OEM: 993-375-101-80) $294.35
Do any of you know if these are the RS mounts or are they a solid race mount? Are the RS mounts solid? I did a search on the p/n and came up with nothing.

RS Motor Mounts...
To a question above about whether ot not the RS motormounts are solid, they are firm rubber, not solid. There is also an RS tranny mount; you only need one of these.
Gert has them as does Steve Weiner...the guy lots of us go to for free advice. Throw Steve a bone if you can, now and then, more now than then if we want the free advice to continue, IMHO, of course.

Leland, I would venture to say the Pelican listing is for a solid mount. The RS mounts are rubber centered, but less compliant than that of the hydraulic mounts found standard on 993.

Thanks for your replies guys. As to supporting any particular vendor I will say this. I "always" want to give business to those who have been good to me. wayne at Pelican parts has really saved my butt in years past and went above and beyond the call of duty. Steve at Rennsports Systems has done the same. I don't know if I could own this car without him. Hell, for that matter, Gert has been a super guy and I'd like to throw business to him when I can.
So, bottom line here is I try to support everyone as best I can. I buy most of my little things from Pelican because it is quick and easy (maintenance items, etc). I'm buying the RS clutch kit/ LWF and maybe the mounts if he carries them from Rennsport Systems. I've emailed Gert to see if he can get a nice G50/21 gearbox. So, I hope I'm spreading the love.
