Default Poll: What Wheel would you choose?

Between these two wheels would you pick the HRE 543R or the HRE 547R for my Red 993tt.

The 547R would be my choice... Similar to the SSR GT3 wheel...

They are both really nice, but I voted for the 543R. After looking at the current results (8-8 tie!), you may have to use a coin toss for this one.

My vote is also for the 543R. IMHO I think the 547R looks better on 996s.

I'm going to go against the grain and side with Tony to say I like the 543's better. I used to like the 547's a bunch because I've always had a thing for 5 spokers, but HRE's 5 spokers look a bit too disco to me. I've seen some HRE-like multi spoke wheels on track cars and they look terrific.

I vote for 543R.
However, have you thought about HRE Competition C21 or C20?.

I'm usually partial to 5 spoke rims for 993s ( ) but in this case the HREs just don't do it for me....actually neither of these two does it (apologies to any of you who have these). Neither of these look muscular enough, esp for a 993TT. What looks interesting to me is the new Kinesis Supercup 2...those look very "Porsche-like". Anyone know if they have been released yet? I recall there was a group buy a few mos ago and I was somewhat tempted...

Rims can also look very different off the car vs. on the car, and on different colored cars. Unless you know for sure, you need to either photoshop them on your car, or see them in person and see how they would look mounted up.

And IMHO, conducting a poll is not the best way to pick rims...rims are a very personal choice, much like the clothes you wear and the women you date. You wouldn't ask us our opinion of which woman to date/marry would you?
