I know this is an old thread...but I had to post mine

I am looking for the "right" aluminum & foot rest pedals to add. The Tip buttons on the steering wheel are for the radio volume controls. (future DIY)

Default Recaro Seat Depth

CP,

Those Recaro seats look great. Are they deeper than the stock seats i.e. more leg support?

Hi Dean,

I have never driven long distance in stock seats so I cannot tell you how they compare. However, as you can see from the picture, the Recaro A-8s have superb support for the outer thighs, the bottom of the thigh muscle, the lower back portion of the torso and the shoulders. Besides hugging the driver for more bracing/support during high-g corners, I feel a lot more feed back from the car over more parts of my body, and it helps me judge/adjust my cornering throttle and steering inputs. Another plus for these seats is that the backs are adjustable. That allows for rear seat access (like stock) and can fit more seat position preferences.

Also, it is amazingly comfortable for long distance driving. I drove 335 miles home the day I picked up my car, and I got home quite fresh from the drive.

I love the look, it screams: drive this car hard. The A-8s are the crowning achievements in race-seats design IMHO. Too bad they are no longer made today.

Love the seats! Are the seats only limited to fore and aft movement?

Thanks. Yes, they are GT3 seats so they only move to and fro. I bought them in grey leather and I got cashmere beige leather (not Alcantera) center cushions from Gert.
