Robert, you're right...You will notice the edge if it doesn't wrap underneath the gauges like the factory piece. I have seen one and it looks like a stick on piece.

IMHO, the carbon route is a good choice - I think it looks great!

I like the interior of my 1993 American Roadster better than my 993 C4S... Here's a shot from the passenger side...

As requested, here are a few pics.

And how much does it cost? You could probably change the bulbs in everything in the interior to match it. (A/C control, headlight ****, etc...) Of course, I guess that depends on the tint of the illumination window the lights shine though on each part (hazard light window is red for example). Just a thought.

I ordered the lights from http://www.porscheleds.com/993ledg.html They also have super bright whites. $31.
Did the install myself. Pretty easy unless you have the OBC. Then you have to take the steering wheel off in order to remove the tach.

Thanks for the info Jeff. I've never liked the plain white lights. And they are an excellent value too.

Here is mine, just finished (for now).
When I have a few more $ I'm going to recover the Sparco's in black leather and alcantara.

Despite the obvious Barney or Grimace jokes and references, I think that color is pretty cool. You won't see another one like it, and it's cool to be unique! Especially like the seat backs painted to match. Enjoy it
