Default 1998 C2S on ebay

One owner low mileage 98 C2S on ebay. Talked to the seller and the reserve is $47.5 (seems low). Assuming a clear PPI, what is a fair price for the car? Does anyone have any information about this car?

Does anyone really believe this car has had 20 oil changes? Would anyone buy a 993 from someone who said it had never been over 90mph? I call major BS on this one.

When you spoke to the seller - is the seller the actual 70 year old owner described in the ad ?

The actual 70 year old owner is his neighbor, who he said gave him and his brother the car. I talk to one of the brothers yesterday and he told me car is in New York, but he called from sacramento.

That's a nice looking car, and a great buy if it sells at the reserve price if everything stated is true. I agree that some of the stuff in the ad sounds like bs, i.e. never been in 6th gear, never over 90mph, 20 oil changes.

I think the Ad is kind of fishy to me. 21K miles babied the whole way could be alot of Carb build up in those SAI port if that's true. Aluminum shifter and door sills? Doesn't look like it to me.

I think the squirreliest bit is"our 70 year old neighbor in NY gave us his 21k Carrera S, and now we're selling it." And since when does Carfax record oil changes? What's the story there?

Dont pass judgement till someone does a PPI. I personal dont care if the car had 100 oil change or never driven in the 6th. But, it is a nice car at a decent price. As for the ad. They are always trying to make it sound nice. Who in there right mind will say "NO OIL CHANGE AND DRIVEN BY A YOUNG PUNK." I agree the Ad is over the top but PPI will solve all mystery.

in the current market the car is a steal, i know because i've been looking for about 6 months (everywhere, daily), if everything is as advertised about the actual car(forget the owner's age and driving habits) and it passes a PPI, i'd be all over it , period...

I believe the Cup wheels come STD on the C2S. Viken would know =0( unfortunately he's no longer here to answer that.
