Turbo rims were an option. Standard were the 5-spoke 17" wheels. The car pictured has what look like the 17" 996 wheels.

Yup, turbo wheels were an option on the C2S, the standard wheels were the CupII wheels. The wheels on the car on ebay are from a boxster.

I could be wrong on this but the C2S may not have had hollow spokes either. I know that it doesn't have the Turbo brakes.

993 Guy -- right about the brakes, wrong about the wheels. The Turbo twist option for the Carrera S was hollow spoke. C4S's like mine came with Big Reds and Turbo twists standard but the Turbo twists are the solid spoke variety.

The "Boxster" rims were also the standard 17" rims on the earlier 996 Carrera C2, so they are probably the correct offset, etc.

The wheels were a $1,785 option.

Marcus,

Depending on the option you pick, you can get either M408 Hollow spoke (18" Techno Wheels) or M413 solid spoke (18" Turbo Look Wheels). The options would be posted under the Hood. Mine came with the M408 option.

It's like ordering a Value Meal from McD's....or almost

Yes, they where hollow spokes for the Carrera S. And, no Big Reds were not available on this model.

The wheels pictured on that car were referred to both Boxster 17" or Carrera wheels. But, the Boxster rear size was 8.5" rather than 9" for the Carrera.

On the Carrera S, M413 was not available as a factory installed option. Only the M408 was.
