Default Rumble Route - So Cal --> Paso Robles

I have the following folks so far with some noteables missing:

Name / Route Vote
FBFisher / 2
Air Kull TT / 2
PK / 2
Ca993twin / 4/2
Don C / 2
RT7
SteveAbrahams / 2
On Time / 2
Rand / 2
jcnesq
WarpMan / 2
mnmblu / 2
Edward / 2
Bradford / 2
edrewitz / 2

Here are the proposed route selections. A departure time of 7 a.m. will give us 5 hours to get to the winery. I suggest you go on MapQuest and (map) to get a picture of the routes. I have no local knowlege of these smaller roads (i.e, Soda Lake) so if you do, chime in

Post your vote for the preferred route #1. #2, #3, #4. I think you will be able to tell my preference.

#1: Meet at the Starbucks in the Albertson's shopping center at the corner of Las Virgenes and Agoura Rd. Take the 101 North to the 46 East and end at Eberle Winery
3810 Hwy 46 East
Paso Robles, Calif. 93446
(805) 238-9607

#2: Meet at the Starbucks in the Albertson's shopping center at the corner of Las Virgenes and Agoura Rd. Take the 101 North to the 23 toward Moorpark. Exit Los Angeles Ave (23) and follow the 23 through Grimes Cyn toward Fillmore to the 126. Left onto the 126 toward Santa Paula to the 150. Right onto the 150 toward Ojai. Stay on the 150 until the 33. Take the 33 toward Wheeler Springs. Continue on the 33 to Soda Lake Rd. Left on Soda Lake Rd toward California Valley to the 58. Left onto the 58 toward WIlson Corner. Continue on 58 until La Panza Rd. Take La Panza Rd (which becomes Carrizo Plains Rd and then changes back to La Panza Rd) to 41. Cross 41 and you are now on Creston Rd. Continue on Creston until it becomes 229. Continue on Creston Rd (229) until it forks into Golden Hill Rd. Continue on Golden Hill Rd to the 46. Left on the 46 to Eberle Winery
3810 Hwy 46 East
Paso Robles, Calif. 93446
(805) 238-9607

Note: The folks coming from Ridgecrest can meet those of us coming up from L.A. at the 33/Soda Lake Rd. intersection.

#3: Meet at the 101/405 intersection. Take the 405 to the 5 to the 58 to the 101 to the 46 to the winery.

#4: Meet at the Starbucks in the Albertson's shopping center at the corner of Las Virgenes and Agoura Rd. Take the 33 toward Wheeler Springs to the 166. Take 166 toward New Cuyama all the way to the 101. Take 101 North (for quite a while) to the 46. 46 to the winery.

Hey Fred,
I saw your list above and didn't see my name "PK" but only saw "OK". Wondering if you meant "PK" instead of "OK". If "PK" is "OK" then I guess I'm ok. Otherwise please note that "PK" will be joining "OK" and the rest of you folks for the trip...ok?

I like option #2 BTW....wondering why

Thank you; however, This is going to be very, very long day. from corona to calabasas just 86.1 miles
oneway. Then five more hours of driving and i have to be on time; because my name is On time.

I have no idea how long it will actually take to do the route. It's about three hours via the freeway I think.

I'm coming from Redlands so I'd like to find a motel for Friday night. Anything cheap nearby?

The Good Nite Inn, Calabasas (818) 880-6000, is a cheap decent motel and is right next to the Starbucks on Agoura Rd.

Route preference?

FYI, I made it from Tarzana to Redlands in about 65 minutes last Saturday a.m. The Las Virgines exit is about another 10 minutes down the 101.

Dang, that's right, I forgot you were going to be in Redlands. Sorry I missed you.

Thanks for the time info. I very seldom get west of the Ontario Airport so I was not sure how long the drive was.

10 --> 57 --> 210 --> 134 -->101 --> Las Virgines/Malibu Cyn exit.
10-->101 may even be shorter at that hour of the morning.
Time flys when you are doing 85.
